Moments of Challenge Create Power

Updated: May 8, 2019

This morning was painful. I went to a cycling class and got my butt kicked.

Over the past 3 years I have had many health complications. Mainly, these complications cause my red blood cell(RBC) count to be low and stay low on a regular basis. For those of you who don't know how red blood cells are in your body, without them you will die. RBC's provide oxygen to your muscular structure which helps a lot with endurance.

I went from running a 7:15 minute mile to now a 10:00 minute mile. Can you see the difference?

Challenge is designed to move your mind to one of two options. Option 1: when challenge is presented blame the world and dive into self-destructive self-talk. Isolation occurs and progression stops. Option 2: it will drive us to our knees in humility recognizing a greater need for help.

The reason I tell you this is that you should never give up. Always choose to get back up again. My bike ride this morning was painful, but I will never regret going. Talk it through in your head and move forward, not backward. Own what you create. I created an opportunity to ride this morning. I created the energy to finish. I also created a lot of negative thoughts in my head along the way. Power is within each of us, use the power to create. Create your Dreams!
